I am also working on my new Asus Q550LF (BB edition). I have successfully installed OSX on a new partition. I currently have it booting with Clover (r2652)/Multibeast.

I have Native Boot Manager working with Clover/Multibeast as well. This was an incredibly complex experience.

I bought an Asus Q550L last week that came with Windows 8.1. I thought it was already installed on the machine, but apparently it was just available for the update.
